In operation since the early 1930’s, it was purchased in 1962 by Arthur Foster and has continued to grow through successful building projects and client relationships throughout the Bay Area.
We are seeking an Estimator/Project Manager in the following areas:
Estimating Duties:
Review contract drawings and specifications
Perform detailed and accurate material take-off
Obtain vendor and sub-tier pricing
Prepare and present proposals to customers
Develop and support client relationships
Complete site visits as needed in order to prepare accurate proposals
Assistant Project Management Duties:
Coordinate shop drawings when required
Purchase job-specific materials
Manage material vendors and sub-tier contractors
Coordinate construction for the project
Assist with troubleshooting, problem solving, and technical assistance for the shop and field
Monitor all changes in the job and prepare change orders when required
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards
Typical computer application skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PlanGrid, Bluebeam
Experience with HVAC and Sheet Metal Estimating
Experience with Quote Soft a plus
Experience with Plumbing Estimating a plus
Customer service focus, integrity, technical expertise, professionalism
Need to ability to work independently, under pressure, and utilize effective time management
