SVM is looking to add an Estimator to our growing team. The Estimator will specialize in HVAC, Pluming and Processing Piping systems and will support our Project Management team on multiple projects at a given time.

What You Will Do:
Provide accurate cost and labor estimates for various projects across SVM’s market segments.
Analyze drawings and other project documents to create accurate estimates for HVAC and Plumbing projects.
Utilize estimating software for project takeoffs.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure project deadlines are met.
Provide training on our estimating software to our Project Management team.
Audit estimates to ensure project scope is met.
Identify areas to increase efficiency and/or streamline processes.
Attend job walks as needed or other project meetings as needed.
Assist Project Management department with other duties as business requires.
What it Takes:
2-5 years’ experience as an Estimator or similar role required.
Prior experience estimating HVAC and Piping projects required.
Proficient knowledge of materials and systems utilized in the HVAC Mechanical Industry.
Prior experience utilizing an estimating software required.
Proven experience estimating for Plan Spec and Design Build projects for various market segments.
Advanced knowledge of HVAC codes and CA regulations.
Maintains professionalism when working with SVM employees, vendors, and customers.
Ability to work within a team environment, maintain organization and meet deadlines.
Must be accountable and strive for accuracy on commitments.
Physical Requirements:
The employee may be required to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
The employee may be required to occasionally move around the office, shop or jobsites.
The employee may be required to wear personal protective gear when visiting jobsites.
While performing duties to the job, employees may be exposed to different levels of noise, which is normally moderate.
