General Sheet Metal (GSM) is seeking an Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. The selected candidate will serve as primary resource to the Director of Accounting & Finance for purposes of improving month-end procedures, providing Ad Hoc general ledger analysis, and utilize a strong technical aptitude to drive/manage process improvements and KPI metrics. Additionally, the Accountant is responsible for all aspects of the billing and accounts receivable accounting cycle who will work closely with Accounts Payable to streamline the timeliness of cash inflows.
Qualified candidates will have:
GED/Diploma with a minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting/finance.
Preferred, but not required: knowledge of various billing methods (lump sum, GMP, T&M), & accounts receivable collections in the construction industry. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance field is a plus.
